So, I am at Trader Joe’s and there is a young mother with a 3 yr old, 2 yr old and 4 mo old baby in a chest carrier. Her basket is loaded to the brim and we chat a couple times in the store. As we are checking out, I ask if she needs help and although she hesitatingly says she’s fine, I decide to come back and help her.
As she comes out of the store she has a TJ employee helping with her basket. The 3 yr old is crying and lagging behind and there are cars backing out. I am glad I am there and try to herd the little boy without intimidating him. SHE IS ON HER CELL PHONE, the whole time. Fortunately I am more concerned with the children than in what she is doing. As we continue to walk to her car, she hangs up. She looks at us and says, “that was my husband calling from Afghanistan, he just left and that was my first call saying he made it OK. She said, “normally I wouldn’t be talking on my cell while people are helping me and my children are in a parking lot, but” . . .
Both the TJ guy and I were touched with the sweetness of this young mother. If YOU see someone talking on a cell at an inopportune time, just imagine it’s a very important call and don’t judge, you could be experiencing/sending Negative Energy for no reason!!
